Purchase
I bought the full game and it is locked again
Open Settings in the game and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
Can my family play without buying it again?
Yes. The full game supports Family Sharing, so the members of the buyer’s family group get it too.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund on Apple’s refund page.
What is free and what is not?
The first 5 rooms of the first world are free. A single one-time purchase unlocks everything else: every other room and world, the Daily Room and its archive, Endless Halls and the town of Dimmet. There is no subscription and nothing to buy twice.
Progress
My progress is not on my other device
Progress syncs through iCloud. Check that both devices use the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for Now What? in the Settings app. Syncing can take a few minutes.
How do I erase my progress?
In the game, Settings, then Reset progress. It erases rooms, sparks and lamps on every device. Your purchase stays.
Does the game need an internet connection?
No. Only iCloud sync, Game Center and the purchase need a connection.
Playing
I am stuck in a room
Tap the lantern button. There are two hints, and neither costs money: a nudge, which points where to go, and the next move, which you can ask for after every move and which costs that room one spark. You can also undo as many moves as you like, and other rooms are always open.
When does the Daily Room change?
At 00:00 UTC, so that it is the same room for everyone. The Daily screen shows the change in your local time.
How do I change the language?
The game is in 32 languages and follows your device’s language. To use a different one just for this game: open the Settings app, tap Apps, then Now What?, then Language.
Achievements and leaderboards do not show up
They use Game Center. Sign in to Game Center in the Settings app; achievements and leaderboards appear from then on.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later.
Privacy
No account, no ads, no tracking. The only data collected is your purchase history, under an anonymous ID, so RevenueCat can unlock and restore the full game. Read the privacy policy.
